This pretty little half pint jug could be used as a coffee pot, teapot or for milk or water. It's a lovely piece of vintage fifties pottery/stoneware made by Lovatts in England with a soft green glaze. A neat, unfussy piece of pottery with bags of vintage charm which would make a perfect teapot for one or a sweet milk jug.
A few little curiosities that you may not know about Lovatts pottery:
The little 'V' stamped into the lid dates it to the fifties, when the mark was added to indicate the way to put the lid on.
Lovatts was originally established in Nottinghamshire - just like Pretty Dandy! - and became part of the Denby pottery company later on in their existence.
Size: roughly 17cm tall.
